I designed this piece after my favorite aunt passed away in 2001. My mom, my aunt, and I were all kindred spirits and I wanted to make a rug in honor of that love. The mat is made entirely of hand dyed wool in prim colors. Approx 18" by 26" in size, I hand stitched each piece with wool thread, backed it in cotton, signed and dated it. The words on the wings say that love is our lifeline to heaven because the love that we give and the love that we get remains with us always. This is a wonderful gift for someone who lost a special loved one or just for yourself to remember your own loved one. Shipping is FREE
